FAQ

  • Why buy Direct?
When you buy direct from a manufacturer you are forming a relationship with the people who developed and manufactured your product. There are no middlemen that contribute to a higher price. With the internet it is much easier to communicate, securely place an order, track your goods, service any issues and communicate with like minded individuals.
  • Who makes our speaker components
We work with a company in Norway who supplies us with the woofers and tweeters. The company is called SEAS and is one of the best manufacturers of quality components in the world. www.seas.no Our crossovers are hand built in Canada and made primarily with French components that are state of the art.
  • What does ENHANCED MASS SYSTEM do for the sound?
By enhancing the mass / weight the cabinet better anchors itself to a fixed position and absorb negative vibrations. This allows the woofer & mid-range units to reproduce sound frequencies more accurately without interference from the cabinets vibrations. A noticeable improvement in the lower frequencies is the result.
  • What does a crossover do?
Audio crossovers are a type of electronic filter circuitry that splits an audio signal into two or more frequency ranges, so that the signals can be sent to loudspeaker drivers that are designed to operate within different frequency ranges.
  • Is it possible to have custom colors and wood finishes?
Absolutely! Just contact us and we will happily work with you to get it right.
  • What benefit does Bi-Wiring offer?
In bi-wiring, each loudspeaker has two pairs of connectors and two cables are run from the same amplifier output to the speaker cabinet: one for the high frequency or tweeter driver and one for the low-frequency driver (through two separated crossover filters). The advantage of this split is that it "reduces magnetic interaction in the cable, resulting in better sound".
  • What type of wiring is used internally?
We use the same oxygen free pure copper speaker wire that we use to make our speaker cables shown on our site. We believe it is a major shortcoming to choke off the signal after the speaker terminals to the crossover and from the crossover to the components.
  • Why do we sell in USD when we are in Canada?
Everyone pays the same price no matter where they live. It is fair and simple to work in the global currency.
  • Can you pay in Canadian Dollars?
Short answer is YES. Just contact us and we will send you an invoice directly. This will save our Canadian customers the currency exchange fee... typically three percent that is charged by the Canadian credit card company.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
